Description:
This radiator is manufactured from aircraft-grade AA5052 aluminum. Compared with commonly used T-3303 aluminum, AA5052 aluminum provides better corrosion resistance, strength, durability, and heat-transfer performance.
Many aftermarket radiators use T-3303 aluminum because it is less expensive and easier to manufacture. However, this material may be softer, more prone to scratching and corrosion, and less suitable for prolonged operation under high pressure and high temperatures.
AA5052 aluminum is an aluminum-magnesium alloy known for its corrosion resistance, reliability, cold workability, and strength. It is commonly used in aircraft fuel tanks, oil lines, transportation equipment, marine components, hardware products, and electrical enclosures.
This AA5052 aluminum radiator is designed to provide improved cooling efficiency and help reduce the risk of engine overheating. Its lightweight aluminum tube-and-fin construction increases the available heat-dissipation surface area. It also provides greater coolant capacity than many stock radiators, helping the cooling system better manage temperature changes during street driving and performance applications.
