AA5052 Aluminum Shroud and Fans:

The New Design fan and the AA5052 fan shroud effectively drive the heat over and out the engine compartment rather than thrusting it into the front of the engine. The fan shroud basically houses the fan blades securing it in place and keeping it from damaging the other engine components that may disturb the smooth and even operation of the engine. With excellent operating temperature management, allowable levels of engine temperature are stabilized. Investing in proper maintenance though will considerably benefit the ride and driving quality in maintaining the ideal working conditions of the engine.

About "AA5052" upgrading aluminum materials:

Our Radiator is made of AA5052 aircraft aluminum. It’s different from other sellers T-3303 Series. In fact, AA5052 series Aluminum is much better than T-3303 series. More than 90% of aftermarket manufacturers use the T-3303 series Aluminum, because it is cheaper and easier to get the material. However, T-3303 aluminum has many disadvantages, such as poor polishing effect, softness, easiness to scratch and corrode, poor heat dissipation effect. If the T-3303 aluminum radiator is operated in high pressure and high temperature for a long time, the leaking problem would occur very soon.

AA5052 Aluminum is an Al-Mg alloy with good corrosion resistance, excellent reliability and cold workability and strength. It is widely used in the manufacture of aircraft fuel tanks, oil pipes, and sheet metal parts of transportation vehicles and ships, hardware products, and electrical-appliance casings.

This AA5052 Aluminum Radiator is designed to provide maximum cooling efficiency to prevent premature engine failure. Its light-weight, and high-heat transferring aluminum features a tube and fin design that, dramatically increases surface area that enables the heat to dissipate more efficiently. This AA5052 Aluminum Radiator is at least 30%-45% more efficient than stock ones. Most importantly, it has a much higher capacity for coolant than stock ones, which means that your cooling system will be more efficient and will be more resistant to temperature surges in racing applications.

What is a radiator?

The radiator's job is to remove heat from the engine's coolant. As hot coolant passes through the radiator it is cooled before returning to the engine, where it absorbs heat and returns to the radiator. This cooling process keeps the engine from overheating.

How does the radiator work?

The engine generates heat when it is running; this heat must be removed to prevent damage to the engine. Coolant circulates throughout the engine and absorbs this heat. The water pump pushes the coolant through the radiator (where it is cooled) and returns it to the engine once more to absorb the engine’s heat, before returning it to the radiator to be cooled again. When a vehicle is traveling fast, rushing air flows through the radiator and cools the engine. When a vehicle is in stop-and-go traffic or stuck at a traffic light, the engine’s cooling fan pushes air through the radiator.

Can I drive with a radiator problem?

A sub-performing Radiator has far reaching effects. An inoperative heater, loss of coolant, or engine damage from overheating could occur. Overheating causes severe damage to an engine, including failure of the head gasket. Continuing to drive an overheating vehicle may disable the motor.

How often do radiators need to be replaced?

Replacement intervals vary greatly by vehicle and driving conditions. We typically see the radiator replaced at approximately 80,000 miles. While the radiator does not wear the same as a belt or brake pad, the repeated heating and cooling cycles the radiator experiences will eventually cause the degradation of its plastic end-tanks and seals.

How is a radiator replaced?

To replace the Radiator, the technician will drain the coolant from the cooling system and remove the Radiator and radiator hoses from the vehicle. This may also require removal of plastic shrouds and other engine bay cladding to reach the part. Where applicable, the cooling fan switch and electric cooling fan assemblies are transferred to the new Radiator. Once the new Radiator is installed, the cooling system is refilled with fresh coolant and the system is bled of any air, then rechecked to ensure all leaks have been fixed.
